Terms of Service

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between Kennaa Tech PLC, a company registered in Ethiopia, and the pharmacy or drug store that registers for Dambal. Registering means accepting them.

What we provide

Dambal is web software for running a pharmacy: selling, stock, customer credit, the daily cash closing, supplier invoices and reports. We provide it as a service over the internet. There is nothing to install and we run it for you.

Your account

  • You are responsible for what happens under your accounts, including your staff’s.
  • Give each person their own login. Shared logins make the activity record meaningless.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been taken over.
  • You must be entitled to operate a pharmacy or drug store under Ethiopian law.

Trial and payment

The first 30 days are free, with no card required. After that Dambal is a paid subscription per business. We will tell you the price before you are charged and before any change to it. Unpaid accounts may be suspended; your data is not deleted on suspension, and you can still export it.

Your data is yours

The records you enter belong to you. We hold them to provide the service. You can export them at any time, and ask us to delete them when you leave. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or train models on them. What we do with personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

What Dambal is not

Dambal keeps records. It does not give clinical advice, check a dose, warn about an interaction, or decide whether a medicine may be dispensed. Those are the pharmacist’s judgement and remain so. Nor is Dambal a submission to, or endorsed by, the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority; the catalog is built from EFDA’s published register of medicines, and keeping your own licence and records in order remains yours.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Dambal to break the law or to record a sale you may not lawfully make.
  • Do not attempt to reach another business’s data, or to probe, load-test or break the service without our written agreement.
  • Do not resell or rebrand Dambal as your own without our agreement.

Availability

We work to keep Dambal available and we take backups, but we do not currently offer a guaranteed uptime figure, and you should not treat it as one. Maintenance may interrupt the service; we will give notice where we can. If the service is unavailable for an extended period we will discuss a fair credit.

Ending it

You may stop at any time. Export your data first, or ask us and we will provide it. We may end the agreement for non-payment, or for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice and a chance to put it right where the circumstances allow.

Liability

We take this seriously and we test it. But Dambal is provided as it is, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profit or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes belong to the courts of Addis Ababa.
